Memory Box’s Cottage In The Woods, 2 Ways

One of my crafting challenges I’ve set forth for myself is to aim for clean and simple. For some reason, it is really hard for me to do this style, probably because I am still a newbie and still working on my editing eye and knowing when to just stop. And not add yet that one more thing and going too far. I had a hard time holding myself back, but I think I did OK with the self-restraint. Trying to get used to the more minimalist look.

So here’s my attempt, both times, with a single die:

I am really liking the black and white one, somehow the minimalist look makes me a tad uncomfortable, but I’m forcing myself to go with it and it is growing on me. I like the color one too, and I thought perhaps I could add a bling or two but then held myself back and made myself stop. ¬†Thoughts?

  1. Adele's gr.aunt says:

I love it, Ruth. Both appeal to me, so I would have a hard time choosing. Keep up the good work.

  2. I like both! But I lean toward color personally, so I wouldn’t cut out the color. Does “one die” mean one cut out tool? Really nice work!
