A really quickie post here. Anyone ever read through this book?
I was hanging out with hubby at our local Borders the other day, and picked it up. It is hilarious. I haven’t finished it yet (it was a good break from my knitting - my pink Samantha baby sweater dress is on the right side of the book) but hopefully soon. A really good and fun read.

Here are some other fun reads as well:

But I definately recommend Yarn Harlot’s most recent book. She’s a terrific writer.
On another note, I am still jetlagged - not from Asia anymore (thank goodness) but I’m currently operating on Hawaii-time. Everything is 3 hours later for me. Ack! Tommorrow I’m going to force myself to get up at a decent hour in the morning - by going to a couple LYS (what a great motivation). Probably Babetta’s and Frog Pond. Just to browse… of course. =)

I’m teaching the workshop for the guild at Synergex–near 50 and Sunrise. Do you belong to the guild? You can join for about a nickel this time of year plus the $15 for the workshop. Call Frog Pond if you want more info, or e-mail me. lornaknits@yahoo.com

I have not seen either of the Harlot’s books anywhere! I’ve been wanting to read both of them - maybe I will just have to resort to ordering from amazon.
I didn’t get a chance to comment on your earlier post, but the dress turned out really cute!
Have a great weekend.

Yarn Harlot will take a looong time to come my way if it ever arrives in Asia..:) Btw, while you are browsing at your lys, would some yarns ‘just happen’ to drop on your lap and find their way to your home? :D Happy shopping!

I had no idea her new book was already out! Is it anything like the previous book? (which I really love)
Funny how our dresses are the same colour..! I think yellow is the perfect colour for this dress, and great minds think alike I guess :)
I haven’t blocked mine at all (Is it a must? because it looks ok..), and I have to tell you - wait till you get to the part where you thread the ribbon through the eyelets - it’s soooooo satisfying.

ayelet - i think the newest Yarn Harlot book is better (although the first is good too!). it’s more of a collection of short stories and funny narratives of her personal experiences as a knitter, and various projects. the hilarious part is how much you can relate to alot of it, craziness and all! as for the debbie bliss dress, i have to block it because it’s totally curling on me and it’s been squished inside my luggage for several weeks now, so it definately needs a good blocking. =)

Hey Ruth, catching up with you here. I thoroughly enjoyed reading through your travelogue and looking at pictures from your vacations (plural) on your other blog. Very cool.
The baby dress is so cute! BTW, as far as I’m concerned all of the baby knits you’ve done so far count towards your “intermediate 10″ :-)
I just picked up the Yarn Harlot the other day and started reading it. She’s quite funny and lighthearted.
