Wow, I think this has been the longest blog-haitus I’ve taken. Part of it was because I was out of the country, but when I got back, I was bombarded with so many things, it took alot to just keep things afloat. I was dealing with the usual counter-culture shock, adjusting back, and picking back up an already busy schedule. Talk about hitting the ground running, literally.
Amidst all the busyness, my knitting and crocheting helped keep my head clear and my mind sane. I’ve also been cooking as well. =)
***
In the kitchen:
(From top to bottom - braised napa cabbage with mushrooms, green beans, homemade ma po tofu)
(a shower favor I made - first time doing iced sugar cookie bouquets!)

***
On the hook:
(Candi Jensen’s Blue Marine blanket)

(Alicia Paulson’s Tiramisu blanket)

***
On the needles:
(Based on Kpixie’s Tweedy Mittens pattern - I’m making a whole bunch of these in different color combinations and gifting them to friends)

I also made a couple marble fridge magnets as a craft activity at a recent shower. Really easy to do - I used floral glass marbles, really strong craft glues, magazine cut-outs, and round magnets. They aren’t perfect, but very cute and very simple.
***
See? Lots of stuff going on. Don’t worry! I’m still here =)

Wowzas! You’ve been a busy bee. I love your cookie bouquet. It’s adorable.
I feel ya about coming back to reality. It took me two months to get my life back in order after the wedding. It was a major shock to settle back. You’ll get there, tho!
