I’ve already mailed this gift a week ago, so I figured it’s ok to reveal it here. I made this for Ayelet. This is my second Tiramisu, my first one was in a cream color. I did this second one in a soft muted blue, a very calming color. I found a SUPER cute green ribbon to go with it, to give it a little whimsy. It was hard to part with this blanket. =)
Pattern: Tiramisu Baby Blanket, by Alicia Paulson
Yarn: Lion Brand Cotton Ease, 5 skeins (in Lake/blue)
Hook: I hook
Notions: double-sided satin 5/8-inch wide ribbon in lime green
Pattern
To make up for sizing/gauge issues mentioned by so many regarding this blanket, I decided to add on 10 extra stitches to give it some length. It helped a little. Although, I didn’t think hard enough about it and didn’t adjust the edging stitches to accomodate for that, so they looked a tad stretched and don’t pop out as much as the previous blanket. Which is ok, it still looks good, the scallops are softened a bit.

Love it. I don’t care if it’s 50% acrylic (for you acrylic-haters out there), it’s machine washable!
I made sure I kept some leftover ribbon for myself, because the green was just too cute. Ayelet, I hope you like it!

Absolutely agree with you about Cotton Ease! I especially like their new lines of colours. That’s a very lovely baby blanket.

I just got it today and it is BEAUTIFUL!!!! so soft and the color is perfect. I’m going to use it every day when the baby arrives (ok, I admit it’s also covering my lap right now :)) and love it to bits.
