In answer to your question about what to call what you are doing, it is “off-loom bead weaving.”

I love that turquoise color! so pretty and sparkly! :) they both look amazing…
have fun at stitches!! I’m on a tight budget this year, so I have restricted myself from places where I might feel obligated (tempted) to make purchases. sigh! can’t wait to see what sorts of exciting stuff you take pics of, tho!!
