Congratulations on learning to crochet! I teach beginning crochet, and it's not as easy as knitting. Looks like you are on your way to many crocheted projects....

As a crocheter, yes I can tell the difference in the stitches! Way to go! I am very impressed. Thanks for the tip about the Candi Jensen books. Since I am an experienced crocheter I don't remember what was difficult about learning. I'll remember that tip for Yarntopia (I'll be the "official" crochet person til amylovie catches up with me).

Crochet seems like just the thing to take your skills to the next level. I too, want to learn. There are so many cute crochet patterns out there.

I've dabbled in crochet as well, but have had a little trouble being left-handed. Somehow I'm finding crochet more difficult than learning to knit. I was impressed by your first swatch!

Isn't Arizona cool? Actually, it's quite hot, but you know what I mean. The cactus are so neat. I want one for my backyard but it takes, like, 80 years before they can even grow their first "arm".

Crochet, your brave. I've dabbled a bit with crochet and bluffed my way through crochet edgings, but I'd really like to learn properly. I look forward to seeing more of your crochet art.

I just learned to crochet, too! But, I had to stop. It was KILLING my wrist. So, I'm just going to use it as edging for blankets and such.

Very cool that you are crocheting! That's something I wish I had the time to learn. Glad you had fun in Arizona!
