Those are so cute! I have tried them before with bad results, I think you inspired me to try again!

Great job on the crocheted granny squares! I crocheted for 20 years before I learned how to knit and thought I'd NEVER get the hang of knitting. Keep up the good work... it's good to know how to do both crafts.

Yeah for you, Ruth! Crochet is a different animal but once tamed is really quite easy. There are so many more stitches to crochet than knitting, but one just builds on the other and voila' you have crochet. Fun colors too.

Great job! I crochet too, though it has been ages since I've done the granny square. I've made afghans with them, including my first attempt at a baby afghan...that was, gosh, probably the late 1980's. It turned out nice only I didn't tie it together right and some of them came apart when my friend washed it. However, I now know how to make the right kind of knot that won't come undone. The pattern I had was from a magazine, and I know I have it around here somewhere...probably packed away in a box or something. I don't throw out my crafty magazines like that as you never know when you'll want the pattern again. I should really look into finding it so I can make some more of those afghans as it was really pretty.

Bottom right?

Congrats on conquering a new fiber technique. Crochet is on my list of things to learn this year.
