Ruth, your comment at Knitting Kat is so precious and so true! Thank you for sharing ....these kids sniff glue like crazy..a friend told me she thought it probably took thier mind off of thier miserable troubles..but at the same time destroying body and mind. One evening the missionary took a van load of kids to McDonalds and a ride around the city and they said the kids brought thier glue with them and the smell was so strong that it remained in the van for a week afterwards. BIEM Baptist International Evangelistic Ministries....have a great ministry there. They have a building where they feed about 60 kids a day and one of the slides showed a missionary man sitting on the ground and thier were 3 or 4 kids sitting around him with thier arms slung around his neck...in none of those pictures was he smiling, but the kids sure were. You could tell he was so loved.

Yes, sitting in my favorite chair and knitting is definitely therapy. I was able to do that last night for the first time in weeks. You do have a busy schedule! I totally understand. My Chinese heritage is Cantonese - you have inspired me to consider taking a class sometime. Isn't Stitchonary great. It is just beautiful to look at.

I look forward to a little knitting every night. Sometimes the progress is slow but it just ends the day for me very nicely. Busy is good but don't burn yourself out, OK?

Your secret pals are awesome!

I hope things settle down for you soon. I agree, knitting is my #1 stress reliever.

Your SP is great. You needed a little spoiling.

What lovely goodies! I def understand the knitting and stress connection, and isn't it nice that we have something we can do to help stress?! I wonder what those poor people who don't knit do.

Yes, I agree with you. There's nothing like flopping down onto a favourite armchair to knit after a stressful day.
God bless with the ministries. Will fun knitting progress to a prayer shawl ministry which seems to be so popular in US?
Love the shades of green on the Stitchionary.

You got a lot of nice goodies! Lucky girl!

Hope the stress doesn't get too bad for you. I hate feeling stressed myself and I have a feeling I will be stress a lot in the next month...paper due on the 30th, a presentation on that paper, exams, my interview to get into the B.Ed. program...then graduation...then maybe I can take a couple of weeks off and do nothing but knit before I start work for the summer.
