Odette Blanket (Rowan)
Mar 22nd, 2006 by Ruth
Pattern: “Odette Blanket” from Rowan’s “Little Treasures” pattern book
Yarn: Rowan Soft Baby in Princess (2 skeins) and Cloud (1 skein)
Needle: US #7
Pattern
Simple enough. Great practice for fair-isle beginners. Also great practice on swiss darning/duplicate stitch. Knitting it up went really fast; the swiss darning took a bit longer.
Yarn
Super soft yarn, very cuddly. Downside: for a baby yarn, you can’t just throw it in the wash. The moment this yarn hits water, it relaxes tremendously, and has the potential to stretch and grow. I can tell that washing this needs to definately be either in the very delicate cycle, or handwash. And because of its potential to grow, this is definately a “dry flat”.
