Ruth’s Reveries

Spent a beautiful 3-day weekend in southern California. Stayed at Will M’s place in Solano Beach the whole weekend. Saturday we took a day trip to Orange County to meet up with some of Wayne’s old UCLA friends. We later went on campus so he can (once again) reminisce old fond memories there.

  

Spent some time in La Jolla too; loved the breezy and mild weather, and the beautiful coast. I miss living near an ocean!!

  

  

Lastly, the REAL reason why we were there, Caleb’s wedding!! I’ve known Caleb since who knows when. We both grew up at CCIC, and he was such a little punk when we were younger. But he’s all grown up now, and I am so very proud of him and glad to see him so happy!

Seeing old friends was a terrific highlight of the evening. People that I had known since childhood were there. It was such a trip to be there and reconnect with everyone! Here are just a few (out of a large handful) of familiar faces:

  

 

And lastly, our wonderful host, Will. We treated him to a dinner at Roy’s in La Jolla. He totally deserved it. Not only did he open his house up to Caleb & Tihua’s parents and relatives, he also hosted us. While people were sleeping all over the place - couches and all, we had our very own room (and we aren’t even family!). So lots of props to this guy here. =)
